We are overjoyed to share a historic milestone for Docs International Health and Rescue: the birth of baby James, the very first baby born at our Kibera Health Center!
Wrapped snugly in his blanket, James arrived healthy and strong, a living testament to what this health center was built for. Every checkup, every delivery, and every life that begins within these walls is the direct result of a community that believed in bringing quality healthcare to those who need it most.
For many mothers in Kibera, a safe place to give birth has long been out of reach. Families have often faced difficult journeys to distant hospitals or deliveries at home without medical support, with serious risks to both mother and child. Kibera Health Center was built to change that story by bringing safe, dignified maternal care directly into the heart of the community. James's arrival is living proof that this vision has become a reality.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, whose skill and compassion made this safe delivery possible, and to our donors, whose generosity built the very rooms where James took his first breath. You didn't just fund a building. You helped bring new life into this world.
Baby James is the first of many. Here's to every birth, every healing, and every new beginning still to come at Kibera Health Center.

With gratitude,
The Docs International Team
